Jio launched an emergency data loan facility

Jio users now have a facility to get instant high-speed data on loan and pay for it later. Called Emergency Data Loan. You can get a 1-5 Gb data loan. The users will be able to pay for the added data at a later stage. The new facility will help users who have exhausted their existing data allocation and are not able to purchase a data top-up for their accounts.

The charge of the emergency data facility is Rs11 for 1 GB and is valid until the validity of the base plan, which means you can continue to use the additional data until the completion of your base plan’s validity. It is also important to note that you have an active plan to get emergency data.

How to get Jio emergency data loan

To avail this offer you have to install the Myjio app on your phone. Below are the steps on how you can avail the loan.

  1. Open MyJio and go to the hamburger menu from the top-left corner of the screen.
  2. Select Emergency Data loan under Mobile.
  3. Tap Proceed under the emergency data loan banner.
  4. Select Get emergency data option.
  5. Tap Activate now.

Doing this will immediately credit the data to users’ accounts, ensuring smooth and uninterrupted data usage for all users. Once the first pack is exhausted, users can also reissue another data pack to continue using and can be repeated up to five times. The company has not yet provided any clarity on when exactly people will be required to pay for the loan.

Let us tell you that the company had launched a new annual prepaid plan for its customers only last month, which costs Rs 3,499. This is the most expensive plan of Jio in which 3 GB data is available every day.

After exhausting the data received every day, the speed remains 64Kbps. In this annual plan , a total of 1095 GB of high-speed data is available according to the validity of 365 days. Apart from this, features like 100 SMS per day, unlimited voice calls, and a free subscription to Jio apps are also available.

Apart from this, the company also launched the new 4G Phone Next at Reliance’s 44th AGM held last month. This phone has been made in partnership with Google.
