On April 13, 2021, Microsoft released a cumulative monthly security update that replaces legacy Edge with the new Microsoft edge
There are some Microsoft Edge – advance hidden features that you have seen but never tried to use it so here we are going to talk about what is the use of the hidden features and how to use them.

Install websites as Apps

Microsoft Edge – advanced hidden feature makes it simple to manage frequently used websites by installing them as apps. You can pin the website to your Start Menu or desktop.
To install a website as an app, start by navigating to the website.
Click the ellipsis icon at the top-left of your browser and select Settings > Apps > Install this site as an app. Save this app with your preferred name and this will open a new window for that website.
For managing the websites you’ve installed as an app, navigate to Settings > Apps > Manage Apps. Here, you can uninstall the app, pin it to your Start Menu or Desktop, or view site permissions.

This eliminates the hassle of having to paste the copied text into a new tab and helps perform a quick search.
On the page you want to search Bing with, perform one of the following actions below:

• Highlight a word or phrase, and press the Ctrl + Shift + E keys.
• Right-click on the highlighted word, phrase, or image, and click/tap on Search in the sidebar for “text” or Search in the sidebar for image”.

Built-in Coupon and Promo Codes

An alert that reads “This site has coupons!” will slide in from the right of the address bar, and you’ll also see a blue price tag icon. Microsoft Edge will automatically try each coupon and maximize your savings. You can also copy & paste your favorite coupons! And that’s it!

  1. Open Microsoft Edge.
  2. Type in the URL to site, and click enter.
  3. Click the ellipsis (…) icon on the right-hand side to open a dropdown menu.
  4. Scroll down and find Pin this page to the Taskbar. Click it to add the page to the Taskbar.
